Walnut Floating Canvas Frame
Walnut Floating Canvas Frame
Couldn't load pickup availability
A floating canvas frame in solid American walnut, made to order for your exact canvas size and depth. The frame surrounds your piece on all four sides while a narrow reveal on the face lets a thin line of shadow show through. That's the effect that gives floating frames their name.
Built to the standard of heirloom furniture, not framing molding. Cut, joined, and finished by hand in eastern Pennsylvania.

Materials & Craftsmanship
Materials & Craftsmanship
Walnut. Deep brown, dramatic grain, and unlike most hardwoods, it holds its color rather than lightening with age. Every frame is cut from a different board, so no two are identical.
Splined corners. Each corner is reinforced with a contrasting maple spline, cut into the miter by hand. It's a furniture-maker's joint, and it's what tells you the frame was built, not stamped.
Hand-rubbed hard wax oil finish. No solvents, no varnish, no VOCs. Safe for a nursery or a kid's room.
Why You'll Love It
Why You'll Love It
Made for your piece specifically. Every frame is milled for a specific canvas, not pulled from a shelf. Yours won't exist until you order it.
A frame that improves with time. Walnut settles and deepens over the years the same way the piece inside will settle into its wall. This is a frame that looks better in ten years than it does the day you unbox it.
Backed by a promise, not a policy. If anything about the frame isn't right when it arrives, or you change your mind after living with it, email me. I'll make it right, whatever it takes. No time limit, no exceptions.
